This article is written as a reflection of
current reality I am against with the experience of the past. Because so
far it's an awful lot of discourse and issues related to education in
Indonesia. The discourse necessarily to offset between the advances with
the development of science, including the practice of education.
Because after all, Indonesia has its own distinctive history and not to
follow the education system in the world's smartest countries, namely
Finland (universally). Indonesia has already past since the education
system is education through boarding schools are increasingly adapt to
the bow of the times. The system proposes the religious base, including
the noble berahlak and Kyai respect as a worthy dita'dzimi figures.
Religious values is ilahiyah and sacral so differentiate from paradigm
or Western society to put forward the views of rationalism. But not
necessarily boarding schools ignoring the rational Sciences, shared by
Western societies.
In this 21st century, Indonesia started to enter by the familiar Western
philosophy (a secular humanist) and almost forgotten
humanist-religious. Of course we don't need to ask why, since we
ourselves feel the thrust of modern age so rapidly. Many of our children
don't need to know the meaning of the previous, however they are able
to mempraktikkannya. For example, the Association is free. Even in
Islamic education, students begin to consider his teacher as a friend of
his own, there is no respect, a matter of abiding Affairs later. It is
not wrong those who say that in this day and age a lot of smart people,
but few understand. We see an awful lot of invisible children's behavior
that manners, ta'dzim, as well as breaking social rules. So the value
of the blessed themselves. Then, if it still allows the blessed it is
there, and how do I get it?
Blessed and how to get it
For language,
blessed (Arabic: barokatun) means nilkmat. According to the scholars,
blessed is the goodness that is Ilahiyah (spiritual/invisible) in an
action or matter. The sense is not much different from the opinion of
Imam Al-Ghazali that blessed is a meaningful increase of khoir ziyadatul
goodness. Thus, the blessing is not viewable in visible, but can be
felt that get it. When something is perceived gain, though generally
fixed visible or even decreases, then something worth barokah. It is
valid in all respects, including science in education.
Someone who has the knowledge, a little or a lot, and is beneficial to
yourself or others, then the science including barokah. Ancient times
many people of antiquity who just graduated basic education, but later
became a great scholar and luminary. Even set up boarding schools.
Because of a little bit of the science they are learning, they not only
study with sense. But also learn by heart. So that their knowledge can
really blend in soul and his behavior, as well as useful in his life.
There are even some scholars who did not study at the cottage and goat
herding is just the teacher, but later became a great scholar. It is the
blessed guru as a reward from the ta'dzim (exalt) a pupil against
teacher, which could not be explained by the common sense of mankind
(ilahiyah). In other words, blessed is the secret of God Almighty. Then,
if such a thing is disclaimed warranties (not trusted) and it is not
possible to happen again (not applicable) in the age of modern all-round
nowadays? Not at all. It still exists and may occur during Islamic
education principles used and not to forget the tip of the ancestors. I
don't want to forget one thing that since time immemorial, primary
education when I was a kid, my teachers (especially teachers budheg)
often reminds me to scrape and menta'dzimi teachers, though the teacher
was bad tempered. Because the teacher was likened to the flow of
electricity, if it lights our heart wants to flame then must continue to
connect with the pangesto (love) teachers. The command then realized

the well, I did it. But it is done without the obligatory study. They
also ordered that the disciples give priority to good ahlak, bowed if
meet teachers or people who are older and mature. So I myself felt the
result (barokahnya) until now, without leaving the tatakrama.
In the book Ta'limul Mu'allim explained that most of its main science is
the science of morals, and most of his main charity is keep morals.
Thus quite clear that good behavior is above everything. As the Prophet
Muhammad sent to improve the morals of a man. Even if someone has a
science and a high degree, but have a less good behavior, then
everything becomes useless. Due to the layout of the main character is
present in the liver, a good heart so good anyway their ways. While the
brain is only the second organ as supporting the behavior. Therefore, it
is not true if the sense take precedence over Revelation
(heart/qolbun/ilahiyah/blessed). However religion and behavior must take
precedence over the mere knowledge that is relative. How to get the
science of Islamic education in the blessed multitudes, among others:
first, sincere intention for God. Intention is the beginning of all the
action. If his intentions were good, then good anyway from his reward,
and vice versa. As it is said that indeed the charity one is hanging her
hopes. While if we reflect, an awful lot in this day and age of
children who attended just to get value and a diploma. And some who just
want to have a job. Its main intention was when it should seek
knowledge because of God. If the science and the pleasure of Allah, then
Insyaallah easy grades, diplomas and jobs. Not vice versa. Second, seek
knowledge from experts (scholars). In this case the definition of ulema
is anyone an expert in a particular field of study, not half-measures.
So scholars can also disandangkan on teachers and professors, people who
are competent in their field. Mathematics teacher must master the
science of mathematics. Lecturer management must master the science of
manejemen. That's not true is the Indonesia language teachers teaching
sociology, and so on. Thirdly, respect for teachers. These terms are
very hard to find in today's modern and global. Students are given the
freedom to argue and act accordingly his/her preferences regardless of
his teacher's advice. Try our reflection returns, the basis of this is
love. Many said that someone who wants something then have to love
something that. While in education between science and teachers are one,
there is science on a teacher. So if we want to get the science in
question, then it should also respect the teacher (getting heart
teachers). The aim is so that there is a willingness, sincerity and
openness among teachers towards students in conveying his knowledge.
Fourth, do not hurt a teacher. Hurt is mainly on his heart. Because the
spirit of a teacher there in his heart. If the teacher's heart ache,
then indirectly there is persecution of guru's. But God protect the
oppressed and gives a similar pembelasan. It is the loss of retaliation
Barakah in science pupils/students. Now, let us reflect with the times
today. An awful lot of issues about the persecution of teachers,
sekaigus defense of learners. In fact there are already laws for child
protection from violence teacher. In fact, the hardness of a teacher is
the deterrent effect of the lessons for a child. Not merely to hurt a
child without intent. As a result, children nowadays are getting spoiled
and weak character. Fifth, diligent study and practice. Here perhaps we
ask, why learn there in terms of the fifth? As I said at the outset
that hearts should take precedence over common sense. Intention and
respecting teachers is better than learning. But by no means should not
learn. This is one of the terms science barokah. Sebenarnyalah the core
of the search for the science of it is mempelajrinya and then practice
it in everyday life, though their knowledge a bit. Because science is
learned by someone but not practiced, according to the book of Morals,
Durusul gonna be tortured before siksanya infidels. Thus it is quite
important that the science is not practiced would be useless and
fruitless, which according to Raudal Tandjung Banua in his poetry is "a
cluster without action". Sixth, don't underestimate the wali-wali Allah.
The point is the need for a seeker of science to recognize, respect and
even pray for the Trustees of God. What is the reason? Because the
delivery of science is like a pyramid which ends is Allah., a teacher
has a teacher, have a teacher to the trustee, tabiit of the taabi'een,
the companions of the Prophet to come to God Almighty. Thus we need to
bertawasul to them, although only through prayer and delivery of
Al-fatiha. This is one way to get the blessing of their science.
Seventh, in love to God. After someone connected with the teacher and
the guardians hinggga Prophet of God, then the next is closer with his
worship to God. Why is this so? Because the core of one's learning is to
get the path to the vertical relationship (with God) before eventually
enhanced with horizontal relationships (with sentient). It's no wonder
the more mainstream religious knowledge than the General Sciences
(natural) other. Thus should not be not a pupil should be closer to the
creator to get the nature of science that blessed (ilahiyah). Eighth,
distanced itself from the deplorable traits (iti, hasud, hatred, etc.).
This is also a hard to find in this day and age. An awful lot of kids
who brawl, free association, hitting his teacher etc. As the first home
for the sciences one must be purged of dirty things. So the science easy
to nest and got by liberality. The question many people right now are:
how to confront the teacher who behave badly? Actually the answer is
simple. The teacher is a man, who did not escape from the nature of
humanity. Thus, the way to deal with it is subtly reminiscent of a good
approach and without respect. Let alone hurt him, that's not allowed.
Due to sebenarnyalah, according to the US Ta'limul Muta'allim, a student
must pay 1,000 dirhams each letter to the teacher who taught it. It is a
great gesture was so prominent a teacher who taught science, so
certainly we can not reply to budinya. And hurt him is futile. It is
exemplified by the Prophet who still respect a Jew simply because it
shows the way to the Prophet. This article is written, it may be a
reflection for all of us, especially in Islamic education, to the
process of education has not forgotten his ancestor and remain in
religious values as well as the real goal. The younger generation is the
future of the nation, if crumbling education and character of the
younger generation then hancurlah the future of the nation. Therefore,
the younger generation needs to be guided by science and keep them away
